Analyse an assignment brief and rubric

Find out exactly what an assignment asks: the task, command words, requirements, marking criteria with weights, an outline and a timeline.

  1. Paste the assignment brief and, if you have it, the marking rubric, or add them from a file.
  2. Optionally enter today's date so the timeline starts from it.
  3. Press Analyse brief. The task, command words and what they ask you to do appear first.
  4. Check the marking criteria and their weights, the suggested outline with word counts, and the checklist.
  5. Read “Not stated in the brief”: these are questions to ask your tutor. Nothing missing is guessed.
  6. Edit the result if you like, then copy it or download it as Markdown.
