Multi-Platform Social Media Analytics & Report Builder

Import the analytics you export from Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, X, Twitch and more, then compare periods, find top content and build reports. Files stay in your browser.

First time here?

  1. Download your analytics from the platform (each platform below says where).
  2. Import the file and check how its columns are read.
  3. Explore the dashboard, comparisons and top content, then build a report.

Fully supported today: Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, X (Twitter), Twitch. Other platforms are partly supported or use a simple CSV template; each one says which.

Recorded in this workbench, with a computer-generated voice-over. Captions are on; the transcript is below.
Transcript
  1. This is the Social Analytics Workbench. It turns the analytics files you download from your platforms into clear numbers and reports.
  2. It works with your own exports. It never connects to your accounts, and it never asks for a password.
  3. Each platform shows how well its export is supported, from fully supported to import format required.
  4. Open a platform to see which file to download, which metrics BenchCove reads, and any limits.
  5. Platforms without a standard export have a simple CSV template you can fill in.
  6. The tools are here: import, dashboard, period comparison, top content and engagement.
  7. Then content breakdown, cross-platform comparison, insights, and the report builder.
  8. Your files are read in this browser. Nothing is uploaded, and nothing is shared.
  9. If you don't have a file yet, load the samples. They're made-up data, and always labelled as samples.
  10. Your datasets appear here. Open one to start, or delete it at any time.
  11. Start with Import and Map, or open a sample dataset and explore the tools.

How the Social Analytics Workbench works

Bring in the analytics files your platforms let you download, and turn them into dashboards, comparisons, rankings and reports. Everything happens in your browser.

  1. Check your platform below: its status says how well its export is supported, and how to download it.
  2. Open Import & Map, choose the file, and check how each column is read.
  3. Use the tools: dashboard, period comparison, top content, engagement, breakdowns, cross-platform comparison and insights.
  4. Build a report and save it as PDF or download its tables as CSV.
  5. No file yet? Try a sample: made-up data, clearly labelled, so you can see every tool working.

Tools

Platforms

Support is based on each platform's analytics export. Platforms don't publish their export formats and rename columns from time to time, so you always check the column mapping when importing.

Core platforms

  • Instagram

    Fully supported

Posts, Reels and stories from a professional account's content export.

    Metrics, formats and export steps

Reads: Views, Accounts reached, Impressions, Likes, Comments, Shares, Saves, Follows, Profile activity.

    Formats: CSV (.csv), Excel (.xlsx).

    1. Open Meta Business Suite (business.facebook.com) and choose your Instagram account.
    2. Go to Insights, then Content (the wording may differ).
    3. Choose the date range (Meta has limited exports to about 3 months at a time) and the content you want.
    4. Use Export data and choose CSV. Import that file here.
    • Meta exports cover a limited date range at a time; combine several exports for longer periods.
    • Story metrics expire on Instagram after a while and may be missing from later exports.
  • YouTube

    Fully supported

Videos, Shorts and lives from a YouTube Studio Analytics export.

    Metrics, formats and export steps

Reads: Views, Watch time (hours), Average view duration, Impressions (thumbnail), Impressions click-through rate, Subscribers gained, Subscribers lost, Subscribers (net), Likes, Comments, Shares.

    Formats: CSV (.csv), Excel (.xlsx).

    1. Open YouTube Studio, then Analytics, then Advanced mode (or See more).
    2. Choose Content (or Videos, Shorts, Live) and the date range.
    3. Use the export button (arrow) and choose Comma-separated values (.csv). The download is a .zip: open it and import “Table data.csv”.
    • YouTube Studio puts a “Total” row at the top of exports; it is detected and left out so nothing is counted twice.
    • Content type (Short or video) is only known if the export or your mapping includes it; length is not used to guess it.
  • TikTok

    Fully supported

Daily overview, follower and per-video data from TikTok Analytics downloads.

    Metrics, formats and export steps

Reads: Video views, Profile views, Likes, Comments, Shares, Favorites, Follower change, New followers.

    Formats: CSV (.csv), Excel (.xlsx).

    1. Open TikTok Studio (or Analytics) on a computer.
    2. Choose Overview or Content and the date range. TikTok keeps about 60 days of analytics, so export regularly.
    3. Use Download data and choose CSV or XLSX. The overview, followers and content files can each be imported.
    • TikTok keeps roughly the last 60 days; older days can't be exported later.
    • The overview file has daily totals, not per-video rows; top-content ranking needs the content file.
  • Facebook

    Fully supported

Page posts and videos from a Meta Business Suite content export.

    Metrics, formats and export steps

Reads: Reach, Views, Impressions, Reactions, Comments, Shares, Reactions, comments and shares, Total clicks, Link clicks, Follows.

    3. Choose the date range (Meta has limited exports to about 3 months at a time) and the content you want.
    4. Use Export data and choose CSV. Import that file here.
    • Meta exports cover a limited date range at a time; combine several exports for longer periods.

    Metrics, formats and export steps

Reads: Impressions, Likes, Replies, Reposts, Bookmarks, Shares, Engagements, Engagement rate (X), Profile visits, Link clicks, New follows.

    1. On x.com open Analytics (Premium accounts) or your account analytics page.
    2. Choose the date range and the posts (content) view.
    3. Use Export data. Import the CSV here; older “tweet activity” files work too.
    • X has changed its export's columns several times; check the mapping on import.
  • Twitch

    Fully supported

Daily or per-stream channel statistics from the Creator Dashboard export.

    Metrics, formats and export steps

How this workbench treats your data

  • Your files stay with you

Exports are read in this browser and saved only here. Nothing is uploaded, and no account is connected.

  • Every number shows its working

Each total says how it was combined; each rate shows its formula and what was left out.

  • No mixing of measures

Views, reach, impressions, viewers and followers stay separate, each under its platform's own name.

  • Not affiliated

Platform names and logos only show where a file comes from. BenchCove isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any platform.
