Transcript
- The Engagement Analyzer shows how engagement is calculated, not just a number.
- Pick a formula. Each platform has its own. For Instagram, interactions divided by reach.
- The formula is written out: what is counted, and what it is divided by.
- You get the overall rate, and the median per post.
- Rows with a missing or zero denominator are left out, and counted, so you can see what was excluded.
- To ignore posts seen by very few people, set a minimum here.
- The table ranks each post by its rate, and you can download it as CSV.
How to use the Engagement Analyzer
Calculates engagement rates with the formula in full view: which interactions are counted, what they are divided by, and which rows were left out.
- Choose a formula. Each platform has its own; formulas the data can't support say why.
- Read the overall rate (all interactions ÷ the whole denominator) and the median per item.
- Check which interactions were counted and which rows were left out (missing or zero denominators).
- Rates calculated by BenchCove are marked as calculated; rates copied from the export are marked as imported.
