Multi-Platform Social Media Analytics & Report Builder
Social media analytics and reports from the files you already have
The Social Analytics Workbench reads the analytics exports you download from your platforms, shows you how every column is read, and turns them into dashboards, period comparisons, top-content rankings, engagement rates with their formulas, cross-platform comparisons and reports. It runs in your browser: no account is connected and nothing is uploaded.
No sign-up. Nothing is uploaded.
What's included
Import & Map
Bring in a platform's analytics export, check how each column is read, and fix problems before analysing.
Performance Dashboard
Key numbers, trends over time and the latest change, for the dates you choose.
Period Comparison
Compare two periods, or two exports, metric by metric with absolute and percentage changes.
Top Content
Rank posts, videos or streams by any metric, filter them, and export the ranking.
Engagement Analyzer
Engagement rates with the formula shown: what is counted, what it is divided by, and what was left out.
Content Breakdown
Results by content type, day of the week, month or video length, from the fields in your data.
Cross-Platform Comparison
Put several platforms side by side with each one's own metric names, without mixing measures.
Insights
Observations found in your data, each marked as measured, calculated or interpretation.
Report Builder
Choose sections, preview the report, then save it as PDF or download the tables as CSV.
How it works
Step 1
Export
Download your analytics from Instagram or Facebook (Meta Business Suite), YouTube Studio, TikTok, X, Twitch, LinkedIn or Pinterest. Each platform's page says where to find the export.
Step 2
Import and check
Drop in the CSV or Excel file. Columns are matched to metrics for that platform and shown to you; fix any that are wrong. Unreadable dates or numbers, empty values and duplicates are listed with row numbers.
Step 3
Analyse
See key numbers and trends, compare two periods, rank your posts and videos, break results down by content type, day or length, and compare platforms without mixing views, reach and impressions.
Step 4
Report
Choose the sections, check the preview, and save the report as PDF or HTML, or download its tables as CSV.
What people use it for
Monthly report for a client
Turn a month of Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn exports into one report with the method and definitions included.
Which videos worked
Rank YouTube videos and Shorts by views, watch time or click-through rate, and compare this month with last month.
Stream review
See average and peak viewers, chat activity and follows from a Twitch export, day by day.
Cross-platform overview
Put several platforms side by side, each with its own metric names, to see where your content is posted and how each performs.
Good to know
- It works from exported files; it doesn't connect to your accounts or fetch data automatically.
- Platforms don't publish their export formats and rename columns, so check the column mapping on every import.
- Fully supported: Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, X and Twitch. LinkedIn and Pinterest are partly supported; other platforms use a CSV template you fill in.
- Insights describe your data; they don't explain causes or predict future results.
Questions
Do I have to connect my Instagram or YouTube account?
No. You download your analytics file from the platform yourself and import it. BenchCove never asks for passwords and never connects to your accounts.
Is my analytics file uploaded?
No. The file is read in your browser and the imported data is saved only in this browser, where you can delete it at any time.
Which platforms are supported?
Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, X and Twitch are fully supported; LinkedIn and Pinterest partly. Reddit, Snapchat, Threads, Discord, Kick, Rumble, Bluesky, Tumblr, Medium and Substack can be imported with a simple CSV template, because they have no standard analytics export we can rely on.
How is engagement rate calculated?
It depends on the platform, so every rate shows its formula: which interactions are counted and what they are divided by (for example reach on Instagram, impressions on X). Rows with a missing or zero denominator are left out and counted.
Can I compare Instagram views with YouTube views?
They are shown side by side with each platform's own name and definition, but never added together or ranked, because each platform counts views differently.
Is it free?
Yes, free with no sign-up or account.
